This replacement antenna can easily be replaced without disassembling the receiver. The antenna comes with the original swivel mount. The swivel mount contains pressure washers to ensure good conductivity from the antenna to the brass mounting lug, so replacing the entire assembly is recommended and also the most straightforward.
Simply remove the single black screw in the top right hand corner of the rear panel of the radio, the one located right below the antenna, and gently remove the antenna to be replaced. Then insert the new antenna and rotate it until the mounting hole is visible through the rear of the case and insert the mounting screw. PLEASE NOTE:

-  The screw hole at the bottom of this antenna is too large for a 1-on-1 replacement.
-  As long as the bottom section of your old antenna is in good condition, you can still replace the top section of the antenna. Remove the bottom part of your old antenna by unscrewing it, and then place it on the new antenna (see photos attached to this listing).
-  Please take care when removing the screw from the bottom part of your old antenna. There are two washers on the inside that tend to go out of position, which can be a little bit tricky.
